Battle Royale

Some of you know that I'm a Star Trek fan (Deep Space 9 is my favorite). There are many great games that have come with the TV shows (The Armada series, Elite Force, and the Fallen are to name a few) and this is perhaps one of my favorites, if not my favorite. 

This game is Klingon Honor Guard which focuses purely on a Klingon protagonist who is a trainee in the elite Honor Guard that is sent to investigate an assassination attempt on Chancellor Gowron's (which should be a very familiar name to many fans) life. 

This game, I believe is also the very first game to utilize the Unreal Engine outside of the Unreal series itself and it plays extremely well for something that came out in 1998.  

What you see here is just a local deathmatch between me and a bunch of bots, who are the toughest computer opponents in any shooter that I have faced, simply because of their auto-aim and the fact everyone runs around at like sixty miles per hour. Really the only guns I can use are the Sith'Har Plasma Blaster (which is what I'm using now) because its projectiles travel instantly rather than travel timed like most of the weapons. The other set I can use are explosive weapons which are dangerous for obvious reasons. It doesn't help that the bots charge me, having literally no concept of self-preservation. 

Klingon Honor Guard belongs to Micropose, who I think is now defunct.
